Plant: Elderberry is a flowering shrub that grows umbrella shaped clusters of aromatic, white flowers that turn to beautiful deep blue to almost black fruit. Astragalus is a legume and part of the Fabaceae family. It is one of the largest of vascular plant genus boasting around 3000 species. It has yellow flowers that develop into pods.
History: Elderberry has traditionally been used to support a healthy Immune system. Both the Elder flower and fruit have been used since antiquity. It has been referred to as a medicine chest within its self. The use of astragalus in Chinese medicine dates back thousands of years and typically is used for overall well-being, to help combat fatigue and build immunity
