Holy Basil (Ocimum tenuiflorum)

Plant: The Holy Basil Plant is a member of the mint family, has slightly hairy purple stems and leaves that have a purple like hue giving the appearance of proud royalty.
History: Holy Basil is also know as Tulsi, it is originally grown in tropical Asia and India. Some religions worship the plant for its healing abilities.
